For all of my kind readers, a piece of advice: Scan your computer for viri.

Funny thing is, I am starting to get more virus’s in my E-Mail daily than spam. These E-Mails are MIME or base64 encoded and do NOT show up as having an attachment of any kind. However, upon viewing the source of the E-Mail, the truth is revealed. They are around 120k to 150k in size and spoof the “from” address to disguise who it actually came from. The subject lines are usually “rather intelligent,” also.

In the coming days, I will take a “snapshot” of my inbox and show just what I do to combat this. It will also include good info on filtering spam without the use of another program. Stay tuned.
