RIP Listener

Default Description:

Listens for route updates sent by routers that use the Routing Information Protocol version 1 (RIPv1).

Additional Information:

With Service Pack 1a, this feature is not available on Windows XP Home or installed by default on Windows XP Pro. However, after the installation of Service Pack 2, if needed, you may install it later by heading to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows Components > Select "Networking Services" > Details button > Check "RIP Listener ". If you do not know what RIP protocol is, you do not need this service installed. :)
