Default Description:

Provides support for 3rd party protocol plug-ins for Internet Connection Sharing and the Windows Firewall.

Additional Information:

Before the installation of Service Pack 2 or 3, this service was required for use with the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing service. After the installation of Service Pack 2 or 3, it no longer is required.
