This service is new for Windows 8.

Default Description

This service hosts the DS Role Server.

Additional Information

This service is not installed by default and should not be installed on a “home” system. You can add or remove this service by heading to:

1. Head to Start
2. Select Control Panel
3. Select Programs
4. Select Programs and Features
5. Select Turn Windows Features on or off

Display Name: DS Role Server
