Tablet PC Input Service
Contents |
General Information
Why this service was placed in Automatic and Started on all flavors of Vista, I have no idea. More then likely, it is because Vista did not have a specific version targeted for Tablet PC’s (like XP did). Windows 7 changes this default to Manual, which is a good thing. It is disabled on my systems (because I do not own a Tablet PC of any kind). However, it has been reported to me that this service is needed by Silverlight to use Photosynch.

Some state that this service is required for the “Snipping Tool” to function properly, but I have not been able to duplicate this issue as my Snipping Tool works just fine with this service on disabled.
