Additional Information
With the retail release of Vista, the Fax service was available for Home Basic and Home Premium. It looks as though this service has been removed as of Service Pack 1 and 2.
You can check to see if it is available for you by going to under Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Select “Turn Windows features on or off (left side) > Check “Windows Fax and Scan”.
