Hi – I really appreciate your list of essential services. I just bought a Win 7 netbook and it needs all the help it can get (1 Gig RAM).
What I’d like to see is a list of Window’s “Scheduled Tasks”. Turns out that Win 7 uses the Task Scheduler to do all manner of good and useless things (associated with the Windows O/S). Like, if you’ve turned off the automatic Defrag service – then why have the Task Scheduler still waiting to pop it up. Sure, the missing service probably means that the “Task” will fail – but why trigger it at all.
It’s gotta help the world in some way to know which dead tasks to “Disable”. Your help would be appreciated. / Mike Merritt
I would like to do such a thing, but time is short right now. I appreciate your feedback.
